In my previous Spring TBR List blogpost, I mentioned a book called Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I got around to reading it OMG it was SO good! (!!!) it earned a spot in my top 8 most loved contemporary YA novels list, along with Eleanor And Park, The Fault In Our Stars, Isla And The Happily Ever After amongst others. I’m mentioning this book by Nicola Yoon because she released a new book this month and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. I have such high expectations for it and I truly hope it is as wonderful as Everything, Everything. Another Author releasing a book this month is Marissa Meyer. You might know her from her book series The Lunar Chronicles. Definitely one of my favorite series! I enjoyed every single book in the series and I’m so stoked that I get to read her new book soon (seriously. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I can’t.) if you guys haven’t read The Lunar Chronicles yet I HIGHLY recommend that you do. It’s really such a good series.
Onto the names of 2 books:
The Sun Is Also A Star – Nicola Yoon
Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.
Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store – for both of us.
The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?
Release date: 1 November 2016
Heartless – Marissa Meyer
Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the yet-unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend and supply the Kingdom of Hearts with delectable pastries and confections. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next Queen.
At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the king’s marriage proposal, she meets Jest, the handsome and mysterious court joker. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into an intense, secret courtship.
Cath is determined to define her own destiny and fall in love on her terms. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.
Release date: 8 November 2016
There are more releases this month but these 2 are what I am most excited about. Will any of you be adding these to your TBR list? Let me know which book releases you are most excited about for this month.
